When your weary-Gods Word helps!
Father your word tells me in Matthew 11:28-29 not to worry. That is easier said than done, but you already know that. All I can do, is read your word, pray, talk to you and expect you to be there and help when I really need it. I know you are, but I just need help with overcoming the "feelings" that war against my mind every day, all throughout the day. So, I will pray your words and ask that you instill them deep within my heart and soul, and I thank you in advance, as your word tells me to do that.
Father, you said to come to you when I am weary and carrying heavy burdens and you would give me rest, because you are humble and gentle of heart and you want to give my soul rest and peace. You said your yoke is easy and your burdens are light, so I come to you asking you to lighten my burdens today and give me the peace and rest to continue with the events that are currently giving me troubles in my life today. Thank you, Father, for salvation, grace, forgiveness and hope!!! You're the BEST! Amen
Praying Gods Word about worrying
Father, your word tells me in Philippians 4:7-8, not to worry about anything, but to seek you and pray about EVERYTHING. (I have found out, that even the smallest things that would seem silly to most people but is important to me, is also just as important to you! I can even ask you to help me find my keys, my phone, glue lids I lost, paper, etc. this list is endless, and it is so neat when you help me find things all the time!) I can expect you to help me because I know you as my Savior and Friend and you love me. Your word tells me to let you know what I need, then thank you for it. Father, don’t let me forget to thank you! Your word says I will experience peace beyond my understanding and your peace will guard my heart. Guard my heart from sin
Thank you Jesus for being there for me!!! Amen
QUOTE FOR TODAY-HOW TO BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS.
Quotes and Notes for today
QUOTE from: Following the Cloud-John Stickl
Hebrews 11:6 – “So if we really want to please God, we should start believing what he has said about who we are in Jesus. It takes faith to believe that we are who he says we are, especially when it contradicts how we feel. But God’s truth is always superior to our feelings.
Quote from Matthey Henry Commentary: THE BETTER WE GET TO KNOW JESUS, THE MORE WE WILL BE LIKE HIM 2 Peter 1:4: We need to take time out to have a conversation with Jesus. Then as we live in the practical enjoyment of what God has promised, we become more and more conformed to His image. For instance, He promised that the more we think about Him, the more we will become like Him. We make this promise a reality by reading the word, studying Christ as He is revealed in it, and following Him. As we do this, the Holy Spirit changes us into His likeness from one degree to the next.
Praying Gods Word Psalms 139
Praying Gods Word-How Close He really is to us!
Father, your word says multitudes in Psalms 139:1-6 (as all your word does, I just wish I could retain all of it!) Your word is awesome, thank you. You gave me more grace and encouragement than a person has the right to obtain. You said you examine my heart and know everything about me; you and I both know, that is not always so good; this is one verse that is probably not a favorite, because of my human characteristics (sinful nature I fight with)-but as always, your GRACE covers me and I want to strive to do my best every day, so help me be open to ask this of you and help me to respond, reply and change what I need to in order to be like your Son Jesus and share His love with others.
You know when I sit down and when I stand up (that’s pretty close!) You know my thoughts even when I’m far away from you or others. You see me and go with me when I travel in my car or sit in my chair or work at home. You see how I treat my family members (Father remind me of this one “before” I say or do something stupid and unpleasing to you).
You said you know everything I do, you even know what I am going to say before I say it (that’s kinda scary). You said you would go before me and follow me, I am really appreciative of this protection!! You PLACE YOUR HAND OF BLESSINGS ON MY HEAD! I receive this every day. Your knowledge is too wonderful for me and more than I will ever be able to fathom. I’m thankful, by faith, that everything your word tells me will always stay in my heart even when my mind forgets. I receive your word and blessings because I know you personally and will really see you someday (looking forward to seeing Paul too, the author of so many New Testament Books – wow what a man!) Thank you for everything!! Amen
Praying Gods Word when dealing with health issues
Praying Gods Word (1 Peter and 2 Corinthians)
Father, when reading your word today, I see so much encouragement and direction, Thank You!! You told me to walk by faith, not by sight; you also reminded me that my body will age, it’s a part of life, but I don’t have to give in to the negative thoughts or possible health issues, because I can stand on your word and will have all the faith I need to prevail, conquer, and press forward in peace and joy; this is something only you can give me.
I trust your word that you will add long life and peace to me when I strive to obey you. I look forward to this as each new day; you said you would “Renew” my spirit day by day, and I claim that Father! You said to be a “Light” in the darkness and that love will cover a multitude of sins. You said never give up and to reject all shameful ways and praise you daily. You also said you would give me confidence and boldness when I needed it. You said, you would equip me with the mind and will to do what you have called me to do, because your word will show me the way. I win! Thank You for your Word! Amen.
He is always there for me!
Psalms 114:1, 5
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. In my distress I prayed to the Lord and He answered me and set me free. Thank You Jesus.
I have told you all this so you will have PEACE in Me. Here on earth you will have trials and sorrows, but take heart, because I have overcome the world.
Come close to God and He will come close to you.
Since Jesus Himself has gone through suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we are being tested.
Praying Gods Word- He shows me how to act Romans 12:9-21
Romans 12:9-21 – Praying Gods Word – God shows us how to act.
Father, your word says “NOT” to pretend to love others, but really love them. I am to hate wrong and hold tight to what is good. You also told me not to be lazy, but work hard and serve you enthusiastically. Help me do this! You also told me to keep on praying and always be hospitable; you said to bless those that persecute me and pray your blessings on them; live in harmony. Ok Father….. I really need your help on what your telling me to do today. Help me live in harmony and peace with everyone and never take revenge; you said you would take care of that.
Help me conquer evil by doing good. This is definitely not a normal reaction, but you know that already; so, thank you that your word encourages, strengthens, and reminds me how to live, one day at a time, with new grace each day. Renew my mind with the washing and cleansing power of your word. Amen.
Praying Psalms 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Praying Gods Word-Strength when we are weak- Isaiah 40:28
Praying Gods Word – Isaiah 40:28-31 – God gives us strength in our weakest moments
Father, your word tells me you are an everlasting God, the creator of Heaven and earth. I’m thankful for your Holy Spirit that comforts and gives me new direction every day. I’m even more thankful that I know I am Heaven bound and will see you someday. Your word helps me to live in peace and joy while on this earth. Your word also tells me that you never grow weak or weary and no one can measure the depths of your understanding nor how you can give me power when I am weak and powerless.
I often become weak and tired and totally exhausted, but you reassure me and remind me when I read your word, that I can trust you and you will give me new strength. I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not faint. I will soar high on wings like and eagle! Thank you Jesus – Amen.

Praying Gods Word when Afraid
Psalms 34- Praying Gods Word when afraid
Father, I will praise you at all times! I will pray to you, and because I have you in my heart, I can expect you to answer me (in the manner that is best for me), and you will free me from all my fears and anxieties. The angel of the Lord will guard me and surround me and cause all my fears to leave! Help me to run away from all sin and do what is right and good according to your Word. Your word tells me I can search for peace in you and I am doing that right now. Thank you for hearing my prayer today. You said you would be close to the brokenhearted and rescue me when my spirit is crushed. You said you would redeem me when I serve you. I can take refuge in you Father, and I thank you for your Son Jesus and all He did for me on the cross. Your word says there is no condemnation in my life with Jesus; so please help me not be so condemning and judgmental towards others. Amen.
