Our Second Question: 2. What
is salt made from?
BFC- I feel like I’m in school again, doing a science research paper on “salt”. I had no idea this study of
Matthew 5:13-16 would teach me the pros and cons on salt, how It’s made, and in the middle of all the research statements we found, we also found some information that would “preach and teach” Godly principles, Life Application Wisdom.
Way cool- I so love this!
Salt Mining- Salt is present in the rocky under layers of the Earth's surface and can be extracted through
Salt is more than just a grouping of letters found on the periodic table or a commodity bought and sold on the international market it
is a life substance essential to the proper functioning of the human body.
Salt- Gods Word is Salt and we are the Salt of the earth if we use the salt/Gods word to
guide and help us in this life’s journey. You notice in the statement above it says; “it can be extracted through mining”. That means we must read – dig into the word, extract from it – then and only then will we reap the benefits
/ wisdom and truths from it.
God’s Word won’t do us any good if we just have that large bible sitting on our coffee table for decoration or putting pressed flowers
inside the pages, thus never reading it. It will require some “labor and time” on our part to dig in, hear, and receive what God has for us. We do our part and He will do His.
God’s Word is a “life substance that is essential to the proper functioning of our human body, soul and spirit”.
