Bible Scriptures on God’s Loving Discipline
Whoever loves discipline
loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness
to those who have been trained by it.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and self-control.
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son whom he receives.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it.
